Our
log farmhouse is more than a century old and these Susquehanna River
bottom lands were part of the eighteenth century homestead of Updegraff
kin. Our humble farmhouse and adjoining 2 1/2 acres with barn and wagon
shed have been "loved real" in the words of another great author in the
Velveteen Rabbit. There's hobby-rabbit christened in his honor in our
back yard. Our daughter Sarah rocked afternoons to lands yet to be
imagined on Super Bunny, holding her blankie and the Velveteen Rabbit. |
